Scott Credit Union in Collinsville, Ill., has pledged $100,000 over the next five years to support the new St. Joseph's Hospital in Highland, Ill.

The hospital recently broke ground for the 91,000-square-foot facility that is to be completed in the summer of 2013.

President /CEO Frank Padak met with St. Joseph's Hospital representatives recently to present a check and express Scott CU's support of the new hospital.

"As an active member of the community, we realize the importance of the hospital in Highland and are proud to play a role in helping make a new facility a reality," Padak said.

"Supporting our communities is very important to us. We believe in doing the right thing for people when it comes to their banking and in their community," Padak said.

The new hospital will offer in-patient and outpatient services, a women and children's center, sleep study lab, and geriatric services, hospice, a sleep study lab and rehabilitation.

The new hospital's patient registration area will feature a plaque that recognizes Scott CU for its financial support for the facility.
