The $2.5 billion, 124,000-member Tower Federal Credit Union has added new mobile apps to its electronic banking lineup.

Included are apps for iPhones, iPads and Android phones and they are available at the Apple App Store or Google Play Store, the Laurel, Md., credit union said.

The new apps join the mobile Web functionality the credit union launched last year and text banking. Features include balances, transfers, transaction histories, canceled check viewing and branch and ATM locators.

“Our members are tech-savvy and need us to stay on top of technologies that save them time and offer convenience,” says Cyndy Scott, the credit union's senior vice president of marketing.

She said more than 10,000 members have downloaded the apps since they were first made available in March. Intuit Financial Services from Calabasas, Calif., is the credit union's mobile and online banking technology provider.
