"The Con" author James Munton will keynote Mid-Atlantic Corporate Federal Credit Union's second annual Information Technology and Security Conference, set for Aug. 13-14 in Harrisburg, Pa.
Both members and non-members can attend the $4.6 billion corporate's event, which will also feature FBI Special Agent Scott Sutherland and breakout sessions covering topics including virtualization and virtual security, cloud computing, new types of criminal threats, incident response plans and the 2011 FFIEC guidance on Internet banking authentication.
According to Richard Carberry, Mid-Atlantic Corporate's security administrator, the growing complexity of today's technology makes it vital for IT and security managers and technical staff to keep up with the trends, whether it's new tools and apps or the latest security threats.

"Wherever a credit union is on the technology highway, there are sessions that will help its staff gain critical knowledge," Carberry said. "Security and cloud computing are two of today's hottest topics for financial institutions. So, bringing people together to hear from the experts, while also sharing their own ideas and concerns, will be beneficial to all."
The Sheraton Harrisburg-Hershey Hotel has been selected as the event site. Registration cost is $95 for Mid-Atlantic Corporate members, $125 for non-member credit union attendees and $55 for guests.
