Organizers of a summit targeted at business owners and buddingentrepreneurs in Yolo County, Calif., are expecting a largeturnout.

The first annual Yolo County Small Business Resource Summit willtake place June 20 at the UC Davis Conference Center.

The event aims to bring together resources that are available toassist small business owners and entrepreneurs within Yolo County,including tips from experts on how to start or grow a business andbreakout sessions on business funding in today's economy, taxes,business development and energy solutions.

The $196 million Yolo Federal Credit Union in Woodland, Calif., is one of thesponsors of the summit along with the University ofCalifornia-Davis, First Northern Bank, Wells Fargo Bank and PremierWest Bank among others.

Organizers say while the summit is free, they are expectingspace to be limited. Small businesses are encouraged to register by June8.
