The $132 million JetStream Federal Credit Union in Miami Lakes,Fla., recently sponsored the first Operation SAFEE Flight fly-inand educational expo at the Opa-locka Airport's Orion AviationCenter. More than 2,000 Miami-Dade County middle and high schoolstudents attended the two-day event, aimed at exposing them to theworld of aviation careers. The credit union worked with the FAA,the air traffic controllers' association and the county aviationdepartment to put on the event. “It's very rewarding to participatein an event that educates local students and encourages them toconsider careers in our South Florida aviation community,” saidJetStream FCU President/CEO Jeanne Kucey. JetStream has sevenbranches in Miami Lakes, Doral and Hialeah, Fla., and in San Juan,Puerto Rico.
