ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — Card Services for Credit Unions, the association of credit unions that process payment transactions with FIS, celebrated credit unions which had strong card marketing programs in 2011 at a celebratory luncheon.

The Thursday event was held in conjunction with the association's annual meeting which runs until Sunday.

“This is always one of my favorite parts of the annual meeting,” Bill Lehman, CSCU's vice president for portfolio consulting, told the assembled credit union payment executives. “It's a chance for us to recognize and celebrate the credit unions which have done an outstanding job marketing their card programs.”

Credit unions submit applications detailing their card marketing efforts in an attempt to win one of the card marketing CAMEO awards. 

Judging the marketing programs in search of a winner is a task that grows more difficult every year, Lehman told the executives.
