The care and feeding of personal finance management tools atfinancial institutions is something that takes constant time andeffort.

“PFM is not something that should simply be launched and thenforgotten,” said Bryan Clagett, chief marketing officer at onlinefinancial management solutions provider Geezeo. “It takesresilience from marketers and technologists to drive adoption anduse of the specific PFM benefits. It also requires committed use byconsumers, but financial institutions need to lead the effort andshow the associated value.”

He added that PFMis essentially a tool that supports a credit union's position ofconsumer advocacy.
