People's Credit Union's board of directors have congratulated Ellen Ford, the credit union's president/ CEO, on her 30-year anniversary.
Ford has been with People's since 1982. Over the years she has served the Middletown, R.I.-based credit union in areas of increased responsibility, including bookkeeper, accounting manager, chief financial officer and her current position as president/CEO, a title she has held for nine years.
Chairman of People's board of directors, David P. Faucher, said, "The board of directors is especially thankful for Ellen's dedication to People's Credit Union. Her 30 years of service is a tremendous achievement and a significant milestone which we are proud to recognize today. We thank her for 30 years of dedicated service to members above all else."

Ford holds a degree in business administration from the University of Rhode Island and is a graduate of CUNA Financial Management School. Ford serves as chairman of the Credit Union Association of Rhode Island.
"Our members and People's employees have made my tenure here such an enjoyable experience. It has truly been an honor to work for such a wonderful organization for the past 30 years," said Ford.
