The $1.3 billion Navigant Federal Credit Union in Smithfield,R.I., has decided to deploy Fiserv Inc.'s flagship Acumen accountprocessing platform, the company and credit union said.

The 49,000-member Navigant cited the new platform'sflexible, open architecture and reliability in its decision, andwill also add several other Fiserv solutions, including wiretransfer processing, fraud detection, the ACCEL/Exchange ATM andpoint-of-sale network, accounting, imaging and member relationshipsoftware.

The credit union will use the platform in an ASP environment.Navigant currently runs on the Fiserv Spectrum platform.

Fiserv said it has now contracted with more than 30 creditunions to run the Acumen core platform in the United States andCanadasince it was introduced in 2009.
