An NCUA employee used government email to send pornographicpictures of himself to an online undercover agent posing as a13-year girl, according to the agency's Office of InspectorGeneral.

The employee used his work email account to “send and receive,respectively, over 700 pornographic photographs of himself andadult females,'' according to an OIG report.

The agency's investigation, which began after it was contactedby the FBI, confirmed that the employee had: Misused his governmentcomputer; misused official time; violated a basic obligation ofpublic service; and violated the agency's policy on computersecurity and use.

The NCUA, which did not identify the employee or provideadditional details about the incident, has “proposed removing theemployee from federal service,'' according to the Office ofInspector General's semi-annual report to Congress.

The FBI is still conducting an investigation, the agencysaid.
