What would the annual “Ladies Nite Out” be without a kissing booth? The $127 million First Capital FCU in York, Pa., sponsored a recent party with a local radio station at a York conference center. Dozens of vendors were on hand for the evening event, including the credit union, of course, as well as a travel agency, spa and skin care company. A new twist was included this year. “To keep the Bank Transfer Day momentum going, First Capital chose to use a kissing booth as the focal point of our display,” said Tara Houser, marketing director. “We got their attention with the booth, then we asked them to 'kiss their bank goodbye' and come to a credit union. The display helped start dozens of conversations.” It also earned a smooch for Kevin Linden, vice president of finance at the 19,600-member First Capital FCU.
