Kimberly Hollingshead-Aitken has a brand-new 2011 BMW at the best possible price, free, after she followed through on a hunch on a recent Friday morning. The Clark County School District teacher went to a branch of her Las Vegas credit union, the $667 million Silver State Schools, and found that the key she had been sent in the mail indeed was the one that turned the lockbox “ignition” to win the car. Hollingshead-Aitken said she had been insistent about going that morning despite her husband and daughter not feeling so great. “It was my birthday weekend, and I just had this feeling,” she said. Blake Boyer, SSSCU's director of marketing, said 30,000 keys were mailed to members, including one winner. “This is actually the third time we've held a promotion to give away a brand new car. But this is the first time we've had the member with the winning key come to the sale,” he said.
