The $1.4 billion GTE Federal Credit Union in Tampa, Fla., has bolstered its electronic services for members, adding remote deposit capture and person-to-person payments and enhancing its bill pay.

The 182,000-member GTEFCU said its new Deposit2Go application provides desktop scanner and iPhone and Android support for RDC and includes access to copies of deposited checks online for 18 months.

More functionality for recurring payments has been added to the bill pay offering, which also now includes ZashPay, a P2P service that allows users to send and receive funds to anyone with a U.S. bank account through a mobile phone or e-mail address.

ZashPay is from Fiserv Inc. of Brookfield, Wis., while GTEFCU is using PSCU Financial Services of St. Petersburg, Fla., for its online banking and bill pay solutions.

“We are very pleased to offer these new services, because we know that our customers want more services online or through their mobile devices,” said Chad Burney, GTE FCU's CIO and senior vice president of Virtual Banking.
