An Oklahoma City credit union member is now driving his carwithout having to make any more loan payments.

Eric Franklin was recently selected as the grand prize winner ofCUDL's SMART Giveaway.

The auto lending CUSO paid the remaining balance of $2,950.61 onhis car loan. Franklin is a member of the $353 million OklahomaEmployees CU.

CUDL said its year-long contest gave members the opportunity towin monthly prizes consisting of $500 American Express gift cardsand the grand prize of having their credit union car loan paid infull by the CUSO.

CUDL credit union members were entered into the SMART Giveawayby requesting an online auto quote from a CUDL dealer through theCUSO's AutoSMART vehicle research and shopping website or byapplying for a pre-approved auto loan through their credit union'sSMART Approval program.

“With only about 30% of members looking to their credit unionfor auto loans, the goal of the sweepstakes was to help our creditunions increase awareness of their auto loan services with theirmembers and to drive new loan opportunities,” said Mike Federoff,director of product solutions at CUDL.
