Many baby boomers in the 57 to 65 age range still consider themselves middle-aged or young and insist one is not old until they have reached the age of 80.
That's according to an Associated Press-LifeGoesStrong.com poll, which found a third of those polled feel confident about growing older and almost twice as many as find it frustrating or sad. Sixteen percent reported they're happy about aging, which was about equal to the number who say they're afraid.
Most considered physical ailments that would take away their independence among their top concerns followed by memory loss, an inability to pay medical bills and worry over running out of money.
