South Carolina Federal Credit Union is helping young entrepreneurs realize their dreams.

The North Charleston, S.C.-based credit union has teamed up with Paul Smith of BIZ Camp to host a free entrepreneur camp for high school students during the week of July 11-15 in the Charleston area.

As part of the partnership, local high school students were given the chance to attend a free week-long camp, where they learned about entrepreneurship and built the skills needed to run their own businesses.

Participating students worked on team projects, class exercises and business plan competitions.

The camp wrapped up with each student presenting his or her business plan to a panel of judges. Cash prizes were awarded to the top three winners to help fund their ideas.

This marks the second BIZ Camp that the $1.3 billion South Carolina Federal sponsored this summer. The first was held in Columbia in June.
