Palisades Federal Credit Union, Pearl River,N.Y., announced the appointment of ?Anthony F.Pili as vice president of sales and marketing. Pili willbe based in the credit union's headquarters in Pearl River, N.Y.and will direct marketing, sales, advertising, branding, publicrelations and community outreach. Elevations Credit Union, Boulder, Colo., hiredthree executives. Jay Champion has been namedchief lending officer. Prior to joining Elevations, Champion servedas executive vice president/chief lending officer for the $1.7billion Texans Credit Union in Richardson, Texas. ToddKern has been named vice president of marketing. Kerncomes to Elevations Credit Union from USA Federal Credit Union inSan Diego, where he and his team won numerous awards for their workfrom various trade organizations. Lastly, RyanKlassen has been named assistant vice president of creditrisk management. Klassen was director of lending services for theEnglewood, Colo.-based Bellco Credit Union.

Numerica Credit Union, Spokane Valley, Wash.,announced that Petra Wilkinson transferred to theCoeur d'Alene branch as branch manager, effective Jan. 3. Wilkinsonhas worked in the banking industry since 1986. In August 2001, shewas hired as a member service officer for the Coeur d'Alenebranch.

Shejoined the credit union staff in 2010 with previous experience inorganizational development, instructional design, training andfacilitation. Her diverse experience has allowed her to migrateacross the retail, small appliance manufacturing and pharmaceuticalindustries.

Veridian Credit Union, Waterloo, Iowa,announced that Gretchen Handfelt has been promotedto the position of training specialist. A native of Cedar Rapids,Handfelt has been employed by Veridian for seven years and was mostrecently a senior loan officer. She attended the University ofNorthern Iowa and stays active as a volunteer for Hawkeye AreaCommunity Action Program, March of Dimes and JuniorAchievement.

CommonWealth One Federal Credit Union,Alexandria, Va., announced Muna Salih as thebranch manager of its Providence Hospital branch in Washington,D.C. Salih joined the credit union in September 2010. As branchmanager, she will provide essential banking services such asmortgages, home equity loans, car loans, CDs, checking and savingsaccounts and more.

El Paso Employees Federal Credit Union, ElPaso, Texas, announced that David Martinez hasjoined its accounting department. Martinez, a native of El Paso,graduated in 2004 with a degree in business accounting and has beenworking in that field since then, acquiring experience in variousaccounting positions and specializing in credit union accountingsince November 2007.

Guardian Credit Union, Montgomery, Ala.,announced the retirement of Ann McGinty, its vicepresident of compliance. McGinty worked at Comala Credit Union,which was recently merged by Guardian, for 30 years, in variousbranches and through five CEO changes.

Insight Credit Union, Orlando, Fla., announcedthe promotion of Melody Hayes to the position oftraining manager. Hayes has been with the credit union for 10 yearsin the branch operations area. She served as branch manager of twobranches for a total of five years. As training manager, Hayes willbe responsible for developing, implementing and coordinating alltraining functions at the credit union.

Smart Financial Credit Union, Houston,appointed Larry Seidl to the position of seniorvice president/chief lending officer. Seidl has more than 24 yearsin the credit union industry, having previously served as seniorvice president/chief operations officer at Dallas Telco FCU. In hisnew role with Smart Financial, Seidl's chief responsibilities willbe to provide strategic direction for all ?areas of the $450million credit union's lending program, including consumer lending,commercial services, mortgage services, lending operations, loanservicing and collections.

CUNA Mutual Group, Madison, Wis., namedSean Dilweg vice president, product executiveeffective Jan. 4. In this role, Dilweg will lead CUNA Mutual'smortgage insurance business. His responsibilities will also be tomanage CUNA Mutual's interest in CMG Mortgage Insurance Company.Dilweg previously served as the insurance commissioner forWisconsin, overseeing the regulation of all insurance in the stateincluding life, bond and mortgage insurers.

Informa Research Services, Calabasas, Calif.,announced that Chris Goode, an experiencedmortgage banking professional, has joined the company as themanager of mortgage lending. Goode has more than 20 years ofexperience in banking. He has held executive positions at leadingfinancial firms, including Countrywide Financial, Home Savings ofAmerica, Aames Financial Corporation, California United Bank andGlendale Federal Bank. Goode is a graduate of the University ofSanta Clara and holds an MBA from California State University,Northridge.
