Navy Federal Credit Union has settled comfortably in the Pentagon with its latest branch.
The 2,155-square-foot facility, located inside the security-enforced Pentagon on the second floor, recently opened with a staff of 12.
"What people don't realize is that the Pentagon reservation includes a group of buildings, one of which is the Navy Annex, where we've had a branch since 1948," said John Peden, senior executive vice president/chief of operations. "We also have an ATM in the Pentagon, and as far as the Department of Defense is concerned it's is the same as a branch, so we've been there on paper for some time. But some space opened up on the concourse across from Best Buy, and we took one of those spaces for a new branch."
