When the USO called for help to feed the multitude of troops remaining on Naval Air Station Pensacola during Thanksgiving, Pen Air Federal Credit Union was ready to help. Pen Air FCU contributed $500 for supplies and over 65 turkeys. Heidi Blair, USO Center Director, said, "Without the support from individuals and businesses like Pen Air Federal Credit Union, we simply could not keep up with the needs of those we serve and who serve us." USO Program Manager, Kathy Karsten, was present during the turkey delivery and said, "I am overwhelmed by the generosity of Pen Air Federal Credit Union and how quickly they have come to our aid in ensuring our troops get a proper Thanksgiving meal."
