The Michigan Credit Union League has been recognized for a video it produced to help people avoid home foreclosure.

The Association for Financial Counseling and Planning Education awarded the league its Outstanding Consumer Information Award for the "Right At Home" DVD and website. The video and Internet site seek to educuate consumers how to both get a good mortgage from the start and on what to dof if they fall behind on their mortgage payments.

CU Village, a web design and multimedia subsidiary of MCUL & Affiliates produced the video which was made possible in part by funding from a National Credit Union Foundation Innovation Grant, the League said.

"Congratulations to MCUL & Affiliates on this well-deserved award," said Tom Candell, NCUF Deputy Director. "The website is a great resource for credit unions to leverage and help families stay in their homes."

"Right at Home" was recognized at the annual AFCPE conference awards luncheon held November 19 at the Grand Hyatt Denver Hotel in Denver, Colo. AFCPE, the leaque said.
