Nominations are now being accepted for the Pete Crear Lifetime Achievement award by the African-American Credit Union Coalition.
The award is presented annually to recognize a credit union professional or volunteer whose career best embodies the AACUC's mission to increase the strength of the global credit union movement, according to the group. The recipient will also have demonstrated support for the credit union philosophy of “people helping people,” organized and/or provided significant assistance to credit unions in need and has constructively impacted the infrastructure, growth, legislative, regulatory, image and/or service delivery capacity of the credit union movement.
Nominees must submit a letter of acceptance, completed nomination questionnaire, support materials such as newsletter articles, press clippings, marketing brochures that support the nomination and one 3-inch by X 5-inch color photograph for use in award publicity.
The deadline is Jan. 10, 2011. Award recipients will be notified in writing by Feb. 1, 2011.
