Credit Union of Georgia, Woodstock, Ga., sponsored the Kennesaw State University National Collegiate Golf Championship at The Golf Club at Bradshaw Farm last month. Seventy-five students and faculty of KSU participated in the golf tournament. The winners received a paid trip to Las Vegas to attend the National Golf Championship. Credit Union of Georgia donated $850 toward the grand prize. The tournament was given by the Kennesaw State Intramurals program.

Dow Chemical Employees' Credit Union, Midland, Mich., raised $25,147 for United Way of Midland County's 2010 campaign. DCECU employees were offered the opportunity to have their vehicles washed by the CEO and vice presidents if they increased their current pledge or started a new pledge. DCECU increased its contribution to the campaign by 26.5% compared to 2009.

DuTrac Community Credit Union, Dubuque, Iowa, hosted a "Shoes for School" drive, through its youth education and savings program, "The Savasaurus Club," in order to help area children have shoes to wear to school this fall. DuTrac branches collected new and gently used children's shoes and winter boots, of which it received just over 110 pairs. DuTrac staff, along with Sunny the Savasaurus, the Savasaurus Club mascot, distributed shoes to the Big Brothers/Big Sisters at Hillcrest Family Services.
