The $950 million Elevations Credit Union through its foundation announced Wednesday it has now distributed more than $81,000 to victims of a devastating Sept. 8 Boulder, Colo. Wildfire.

The donations directed to the Fourmile Fire Relief are the result "of the generosity of Elevations and the community overall with funds flowing to fire victims and local firefighting agencies.

Elevations said it will continue to work in concert with Boulder County Community Services, the Foothills United Way and the Community Foundation Serving Boulder County on further disbursement of the funds.

"These organizations have worked tirelessly to see that victims are identified and needs are being met," said Dennis Paul, Elevations assistant vice president for business and community development. "We are pleased to be able to help in the relief efforts and provide funding through our foundation to provide a source of cash resources," he added.

In addition to relief efforts around the Fourmile Canyon Fire, Elevations said it also has set up a separate fire relief fund for the Reservoir Road fire west of Loveland. In that community, Elevations is working with the United Way of Larimer County on fund distribution.
