Credit Union Times has added a new member to its team. Marygrace Murphy has joined the staff as assistant editor starting Sept. 7.
Murphy will be managing the website as well as writing on Gen Y, including the monthly Gen Y Back Talk column and the Gen Y Back Talk Facebook page. "I'm happy and excited to join the publication's full-time staff," she said.
Murphy graduated from Monmouth University in West Long Branch, N.J., with a bachelor's in English in 2009. After spending a summer as an editorial intern at Credit Union Times, she began her studies at the City University of New York Graduate School of Journalism. During her time at CUNY, Marygrace focused on business journalism and learned the tools of print, broadcast and interactive media. She also continued to freelance copy edit for Credit Union Times.

Murphy replaces Staff Reporter Lindsey Siegriest, who worked at CU Times for two and a half years. "I'm sad to be leaving Credit Union Times. I learned so much here and had such a great experience that I will take with me as I grow in my career," Siegriest said. "I am confident that Marygrace will step into the position with ease and will be an excellent addition to the team."
Siegriest will serve as an editor at PR Week.
