said it has launched the first native application by a credit union for the iPad.
The new app takes advantage of the larger screen and resolves the slight pixilation issue that occurred when MACU's existing iPhone app was used in full-screen mode on an iPad, said Tony Rasmussen, senior vice president of e-services at the $2.8 billion Salt Lake City institution.
"The mobile channel causes us to think differently about the services we offer our members. Success in the mobile space is critical–many people have access to a cell/mobile device more often than they do to a PC," Rasmussen said.
MACU's mobile functionality includes the ability to check balances, view transactions, transfer funds, pay loans and contact the credit union for support through secure messaging.
