NAFCU and Affinion Security Center have released two customizable public service announcement videos on tips for preventing identity theft and fraud.

The videos are available to NAFCU members free of charge with the exception of a one-time fee of $150 to customize the PSAs for an individual credit union and can be used on local television, online and other venues.

NAFCU Service Corp. launched a competition seeking PSA videos on tips to prevent identity theft. Affinion Security Center, a NAFU preferred partner, co-sponsored the competition that was implemented by GeniusRocket. GeniusRocket connects advertisers with creative professionals around the globe.

The two winning PSA videos were selected and are posted at www.nafcu.org/video-ads.

"Identity theft is the fastest growing crime in America today," said Wayne Conte, executive vice president of sales for Affinion Group. "Credit unions often take steps to help prevent identity theft for their members by offering account and credit monitoring services, requiring periodic online account password changes and in other ways. This is an extension of that superior member service-helping educate the community about the growing epidemic of identity theft and how to avoid becoming a victim of it."
