John Goff, senior vice president of the $1.8 billion Keesler Federal Credit Union of Biloxi, Miss., is the credit union's new president/CEO.

He succeeds the veteran, Scotty Broome, who retired effective June 30 after serving the Biloxi CU 34 years.

In a formal announcement, Keesler said Goff, who has occupied the senior vice president post since 2001, was elevated to the Keesler helm as part of a series of management shifts, including the promotion of Richard Tolar, also a senior vice president, to executive vice president/chief financial officer.

Broome has long been well-regarded for numerous contributions to industry welfare on the legislative front and locally with military and veterans groups. He also has been an active contributor to causes of the Defense Credit Union Council.

"Scotty Broome leaves behind a legacy of quality member service," said a statement by Keesler Chairman Cynthia Payne Childers.

Goff joined Keesler as a compliance officer and holds a B.S. degree in business administration from Delta State University and a master's in business administration from the University of Southern Mississippi.

Tolar joined the CU in 1986 as vice president of accounting and moved up to senior vice president in 2001.
