Ohio has a former community bank CEO, Carolyn Bradford, as its new credit union regulator.
Bradford, formerly head of Community National Bank, Franklin, took office July 12 after she was named state superintendent of financial institutions by Gov. Ted Strickland. She oversees banks, CUs, trust firms and other depository institutions and succeeds John Reardon, the former Mahoning County treasurer who left in May to return to Youngstown.
In announcing Bradford's appointment, the Ohio Department of Commerce cited her 30 years of experience with banks and businesses and in project management.
