Open Technology Solutions is mourning the loss of Chief Operating Officer Steven P. Markwell who died at the age of 47.
Serving the credit union industry for 15 years, Markwell worked as executive director of IT at Bellco Credit Union and at the Denver-based technology CUSO OTS since its inception in 2003.
"Steve developed deep relationships within many organizations in the credit union movement and he was regarded as an outstanding partner. He will be deeply missed," said OTS CEO Mike Atkins.
Markwell is survived by his wife, Lindsay, and two daughters, Lauren and Lily. Donations can be made in his honor to the Markwell Children's Fund, c/o Bellco Credit Union, 7600 E. Orchard Rd., Greenwood Village, Colo., 80111.
