CU*Answers will help credit unions keep men and women apart in the latest iteration of its CU*BASE core processing system.
A tool known as the Gender Generator will be included in version 10. The new tool will help credit unions that use its relationship analysis and other data mining "Know Your Member" tools, the 165-customer tech CUSO said.
The Gender Generator updates a membership database by comparing it with a list of more than 11,000 names and, with an estimated 75% accuracy or better, decide what gender a member is who has a "gender-ambiguous name such as Chris or Pat," the CUSO said.
