The NCUA today posted online the second of three video presentations that aim to help credit unions and their volunteers better understand corporate stabilization measures.
All three tracks will eventually be posted online, with the third and final track expected to be complete in the coming weeks, the NCUA said in a release. When complete, the NCUA will provide a complimentary DVD that includes all three tracks to all federally insured credit unions.
The series provides a broad overview of various aspects of the corporate credit union crisis. Track two, posted today, describes types of corporate credit union investments, how investments were affected by financial market declines, and how investment losses affected corporates and subsequently threatened the entire credit union system.
