Core Federal Credit Union and Pentagon FCU have both been named NAFCU's federal credit union of the Year.

Core FCU, in East Syracuse, N.Y., won for federal credit unions with less than $150 million in assets, and Pentagon FCU of Alexandria, Va., won in the category of $150 million or more.

Jeff Bocach, president/CEO of Advantage FCU in Rochester, N.Y., was named CEO of the year for CUs with assets of less than $150 million. Patrick M. McPharlin, president/CEO of Michigan State University FCU, East Lansing, Mich.. won for CUs with assets of $150 million or more.

Diane McDuff, senior vice president of relationship management at Main Street Financial FCU of Dedham Springs, La., was named professional of the year for credit unions with assets of less than $150 million. Susan Ward, senior vice president/chief operating officer of Finance Center FCU in Indianapolis, won in the large CU category.

NAFCU named Patsy Koenig of Washington Gas Light FCU in Springfield, Va., volunteer of the year at smaller credit unions. Frederick Walters of Randolph-Brooks FCU in Live Oak, Texas, won for credit unions with $150 million or more in assets.

The awards will be given at a July 22 luncheon during NAFCU's 43rd Annual Conference & Exhibition in Chicago.
