Point Loma Credit Union, San Marcos, Calif.,hosted students from San Marcos High Schools during its “Job ShadowDay” program. The students got an inside look at how the financialservices industry operates. The tour was organized by PalomarCollege as part of its “Gear Up” outreach.

Delaware Federal Credit Union, Smyrna, Del.,participated in the 12th annual “I Love Smyrna School District Day”by offering visitors the opportunity to spin the prize wheel whilestudent ambassador, “Max-A-Million,” promoted the importance offinancial literacy. Max also gave teachers information on how toobtain free financial workshops for their students, courtesy of thecredit union's partnership with ITS. More than 5,000 people cameout to show their support and appreciation at the event.

Arizona Central Credit Union, Phoenix,encouraged community outreach by helping St. Mary's Food Bankthrough Central Cares, its employee volunteer program. The creditunion worked in conjunction with the food bank to help reach itsgoals of preparing food for distribution to those in need withinArizona. The activities were diverse and included sortingvegetables and nonperishable canned goods and gleaning?pickingcitrus fruit from neighborhood homes.
