Montana's largest credit union will be converting to the Symitar Episys core processing platform.
Whitefish Credit Union Association will run the Episys system in-house and said it chose the chose the platform to accommodate plans to offer expanded services.
“Our credit union does not currently offer home banking or operate our own ATMs, and we want to do both. And we are confident in Symitar's ability to provide the necessary tools and technology,” said James Kenyon, CEO of the $1.2 billion Whitefish Credit Union Association.
The 57,000-member credit union has a substantial number of commercial accounts and six branches. It currently is running on a core platform from Enhanced Software Products Inc., according to the credit union's 5300 Call Report at the NCUA.
Symitar is a division of Jack Henry & Associates and provides core processing and other solutions to about 720 credit unions, including 50 billion-dollar credit unions now running on Episys.
