The first iPhone app for mobile banking from a Lubbock financial institution will be among the highlights for members of Texas Tech Federal Credit Union when it launches a set of new services in August, the credit union said.
The $67 million credit union also will be the first in its area to offer mobile banking capability regardless of cell phone provider, it said.
Texas Tech FCU will be offering the mobile services as part of its deployment of the WebFederal3 suite from PM Systems Corp. of Chapin, S.C., which also will include alerts, electronic notices and statements and general online banking capabilities, including account-to-account transfers.

Anytime address and password changes, online account opening and 24/7 loan decisions also are included, as is bill pay direct from PM Systems, allowing the service at a lower cost than from an online banker using a third party, the credit union said.
"Right now we have a full-time employee only doing address changes and password resets manually," said Chris Hutson, the 14,000-member credit union's chief financial officer. "It's time to upgrade our image of professionalism with some new services for our members to empower them, making our credit union that much more valuable to them."
PM Systems said it now provides mobile and online banking and security services to about 190 credit unions.
