CU*Answers said 78 credit unions have begun using its mobile online banking solution since it was launched in mid-March.

The "It's Me 24/7″ mobile online banking product uses an automatic redirect from the CUSO's standard It's Me 24/7 online banking website to serve up a bandwidth-conscious subset of information most likely to be important to mobile users.

The service is free to existing credit union customers and also includes marketing materials. CU*Answers, a Michigan-based provider of core processing and other solutions to more than 165 credit unions, expects to offer application-based mobile banking and texting capabilities later this year.
