Credit unions using document software from Integrated Media Management can now allow their members to use iPads to fill out and sign loan documents.

The Linden, N.J., company is one of the first in the credit union industry to announce an application specifically for the new Apple laptop device.

The application works with the company's TotaleAtlas solution to provide paperless loan applications, IMM said.

"Currently, community bank and credit union staff work with applicants to complete loan or account origination documents on a computer using TotaleAtlas, then print them out for the potential borrower to review," said IMM's chief technology officer, Nish Shah.

"The iPad application ensures that it is a truly paperless process because the applicant can review the documents on the tablet, sign directly on the iPad and electronically complete the process," he said.

The company also is offering an iPad application that allows financial institution staff to go offsite to open accounts, complete applications and other documents and obtain digital signatures for downloading and archiving.

IMM said it now has more than 600 credit union and other financial services clients and that its solutions interface with more than 20 processors and compliance vendors.
