In recognition of Black History Month, Florida Telco Credit Union has teamed up with local ABC and NBC television network affiliates First Coast News to produce the Black History Month Celebration.
As part of the month-long celebration some 40,000 calendars will be distributed throughout Jacksonville. Each month will feature the significant contributions of an African-American in history. In addition, First Coast News will air short television vignettes throughout the month as well showcasing these accomplishments and contributions.
Recently, Gail Lewis, director of consumer lending at the Jacksonville, Florida-based credit union shared why Black History Month was so special during a segment on First Coast News.
