Five Ohio credit unions are now using a new service from Aimbridge Indirect Lending LLC and their state league to offer their members the convenience of online car shopping and financing through their credit unions' Web site.
They're among the first users of the WhereMembersBuy.com service from Aimbridge Indirect Lending of Ohio, an operation jointly owned by Aimbridge and OCUL Services Corp. and several Buckeye State credit unions.
The system aggregates inventory from reputable dealerships around the state, the company said, allowing members to shop cars from local dealers, schedule test drives and secure financing, all online.

The five credit unions?among the first to deploy the service?are the $536 million Directions CU and the $18.2 million Mercy Health Partners FCU of Toledo, the $67 million Cintel FCU of Cincinnati, the $173 million CME FCU of Columbus and the $3.5 million Champion FCU of Cambridge.
"I think this product is going to be great for our members on two levels. One, it allows our members to view inventory of local dealers in one spot, allowing our members to get pre-qualified, right on the site, and two, it gives dealers the ability to present inventory to our members through our credit union Web site," said CME CU's chief executive officer, Jim Riederer.
Colorado-based Aimbridge Indirect Lending is owned by CRIF and is a provider of integrated multichannel, multilender auto buying and lending services.
