The $755 million Columbia Credit Union has hired Steve Okazaki, a 25-year banking industry veteran, to assist with the cooperative's commercial lending operations.

Okazaki is the new vice president of business lending at Columbia CU in Vancouver, Wash. He will also be responsible for developing and maintaining business loan and deposit relationships. With 12 years of business banking experience and 25 years of industry experience, Okazaki previously served as a business lending and business development officer for a local financial institution.

"We're focused on expanding our business lending efforts," said Jim Brekke, senior vice president and chief credit officer at Columbia CU. "Steve's background and experience make him the ideal candidate to assist in reaching our goals."
