As many financial institutions have stepped away from lending, First Credit Union is letting potential borrowers know that there is an alternative with its $50 million loan-a-thon.
Now through Dec. 31, the Chandler, Ariz.-based First CU is taking applications for auto loans, personal loans, home loans, home equity loans and business loans. The individual loan amount will be based on loan policy loan amount limits. The loan rate will be based on personal financial situation and previous credit performance. A minimum deposit of $5 in a savings account is required for membership.
The $450 million First CU, which is celebrating its 80th anniversary this year, serves more than 55,000 members.
