Majority of CU Voters Do Not Offer Student Loans

With the elimination of the Federal Family Education Loan Program looming and with overhead and college tuition costs continuing to rise, Credit Union Times decided to ask how many credit unions offer student loans to members.
In the most recent online voting poll results, Credit Union Times found that 51% of respondents do not have a student loan program.
Forty-two percent said that their credit union does offer student loans to members.
Six percent said that their credit union currently does not offer student loans, but it is working on putting together a program.
