Payday lending is a topic that continues to generate heat as those in the industry debate whether the product is helpful or predatory. The latest results from the Credit Union Times online voting poll showed that the majority of voters do not offer payday lending at their credit union. Fifty-seven percent of voters said that their credit union does not have a payday lending product. Thirty-seven percent of voters said that their credit union does offer a payday lending product. Four percent of voters weren't sure whether or not their credit union offers payday lending.
