Scott Hunt, acting special assistant to the acting director of the NCUA's Office of Corporate Credit Unions, was named today by NCUA Chairman Debbie Matz to be the director of the Office.

Since joining the NCUA in 1989, Hunt has been an examiner, associate regional director and a senior investment officer in the Office of Capital Markets.

Earlier this year he was acting director of the Office of Corporate Credit Unions.

Hunt earned an undergraduate degree from Penn State University and his MBA at the George Mason University in Virginia. He is a CPA and CFA charter holder.

"His talent, knowledge and dedication to the wide range of very complicated issues facing the corporates is well-known and has produced real results. Scott's background and skill set make him uniquely qualified for this crucial position," Matz said of Hunt in a statement.
