NCUA Chairman Deborah Matz will speak at NAFCU's Congressional Caucus next month.

Matz, who was sworn in on Monday, will discuss what's ahead for credit unions and the agency. It is her first announced public appearance as chairman.

But this week she has met with the top officials of CUNA, NAFCU and NASCUS. She met with CUNA President/CEO Dan Mica and NASCUS President/CEO Mary Martha Fortney on Tuesday and NAFCU President/CEO Fred Becker on Wednesday.

NAFCU's Congressional Caucus runs from September 20-23 and Matz is scheduled to speak on the morning of September 21.

Other speakers at the caucus include: NCUA Board Members Michael Fryzel and Gigi Hyland; 10 members of the House and Senate; and top officials at the Small Business Administration, Federal Housing Administration and Federal Housing Finance Agency.
