A credit union in New York and another in Ohio have joined Credit Union 24. Their addition takes the credit union-owned ATM and EFT network to 455 credit unions, the network said.
The two are the $635 million Mid-Hudson Federal Credit Union, Kingston, N.Y. and the $69 million Associated School Employees Credit Union, Youngstown, Ohio.
"Our credit union is focusing its branding philosophy on emphasizing the use of technology as a cornerstone method to improve the member service experience," William Spearman, president/CEO of Mid-Hudson Valley FCU said.
"Credit Union 24 is consistent with the customer experience enhancements that are currently being developed for our Web site, and the network will help us deliver a level of service that reinforces our branding effort. Furthermore, the fee-free ATM and POS access that the Credit Union 24 network provides considerably increases the value our members receive from our institution," he added
Mid-Hudson Valley FCU serves more than 55,000 members from Ulster, Dutchess and Orange counties. Its Web site is currently being redesigned and will launch in fourth-quarter 2009, providing greater financial access and management for members' accounts, Credit Union 24 said. The credit union also provides uGenius Personal Teller machines, which offer 24/7 account access and teller interaction.
Associated School Employees Credit Union has been providing financial services to educators and school staff since its founding in 1959. The credit union, with nearly $70 million in assets, experienced an expansion in 2007 and now serves more than 7,000 members at five locations throughout Mahoning, Trumbull and Columbiana counties in Ohio.
"For 50 years, our credit union has offered services to our members that focus on customer satisfaction, value and convenience that separate us from other financial institutions," said Michael Kurish, CEO of Associated School Employees Credit Union. "The Credit Union 24 network helps supplement the services and value proposition our credit union offers our members. It is member-owned, like our credit union, and embodies all three of our core values with the thousands of fee-free ATM and POS locations nationwide."
