Mid-Atlantic Corporate Federal Credit Union announced yesterday's passing of John H. Bixler, Jr., the original president/CEO.

Bixler served as president/CEO of the now $4 billion corporate until his retirement in 1989. Before joining Mid-Atlantic, Bixler served as the President of Pennsylvania Central FCU and CenPenn Rail FCU, now Blue Chip FCU.

"It is with great sadness that we mourn the loss of John Bixler, a great and dedicated credit union leader. John's commitment to the credit union movement was always evident, especially in his belief that the system is the solution to meet the needs of credit unions," stated Jay Murray, president/CEO.
