NAFCU has promoted its top lobbyist B. Dan Berger to be executive vice president for government affairs.

Berger, who joined the association as senior vice president for government affairs in January 2006, manages the government affairs department and is NAFCUs top legislative and regulatory advocate. He is one of two executive vice presidents.

"Dan has led NAFCU through unprecedented political waters in the financial services arena and has done so in a bi-partisan manner. He is one of those rare managers that leads by example; no task is too large or small," NAFCU President Fred Becker said in a statement.
