The Los Angeles-based ByDesign Financial Solutions, which does business as Consumer Credit Counseling Services in several California markets, has announced its merger with the Richmond, Va.-based ClearPoint Counseling Solutions, effective May 1.
The combined organization, which will retain the ClearPoint name, will provide face-to-face credit counseling in 50 offices throughout 11 states. Roger Ball, president and CEO of the $266 million

ByDesign is a strategic business partner of the California and Nevada Credit Union Leagues, and has a strong presence in the greater Los Angeles and Sacramento areas. Henry Kertman, leagues' vice president of public affairs, said the state trades will continue to partner with the new organization.
