The $2.4 billion Redstone Federal Credit Union has hired John Cook, a former Wachovia Bank senior vice president, to help oversee the financial institution's business retail department.

As assistant vice president, business services, Cook will be responsible for oversight of business lending and business deposit retail marketing. Prior to joining Redstone, Cook was a self-employed business consultant and life coach, working primarily with small businesses and not-for-profit organizations. Cook was also a senior vice president with Wachovia where his responsibilities included management of business development in metropolitan and community markets and risk management.

The Huntsville, Ala.-based CU has also hired Neil Carville as a business loan officer. Prior to coming to work at Redstone, he was a senior commercial lender. He has spent the past ten years working in commercial lending, including financing, construction, and other business financing.
